“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”—2 Corinthians 9:8 (KJV)
Introduction:
Good Afternoon Everyone! As I continue my efforts to transfer messages I thought this would be a good day to rewrite this one. It’s important that we know that no matter what it looks like in the natural God is able, and in control.
God Is Able:
I know it sounds silly to say this, but I think that the majority of people who claim to be Christians don’t really believe God is willing or able to do anything for them. How do I know? Listen to them talk, read what they post on social media, and it becomes dreadfully clear that they have absolutely no faith in God’s ability or desire to bless them simply because He loves them. They don’t believe God will provide financially, they don’t believe God is able to heal their sicknesses or diseases, and they just don’t think God is able or willing to do anything for them.
Do you know that there were only two things that Jesus marveled over during His earthly ministry? He marveled at great faith like the woman who had the issue of blood. She had such faith that she didn’t care who thought what about her…she just knew that if she could crawl through the crowd and touch the hem of His robe that she would be healed. When she touched His robe He turned around to ask who had touched Him because of the power that flowed through Him to this woman. The other thing Jesus marveled at…unbelief. In Mark 6:6 we read these words: “He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.” I don’t know about you, but I don’t want Jesus to marvel over my unbelief, Amen!?!
We read in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that God told Paul that His grace was sufficient for every area, every weakness, and every thing that Paul would ever need. He said “My grace is sufficient for you.”. Don’t you know that the same grace that God has is just as available to us today as it was Paul, Peter, James, and then some. If we would ever really get in our hearts that God is for us, WANTS to bless us, and loves us with that unfailing love that is often sung about in our worship songs…but do we really believe His love never fails…or is it just a bunch of words we sing while watching the worship band perform?
God is able to bless us abundantly. God is able to make ALL grace abound towards us. God is able to meet every need that we would ever have, heal every sickness, heal every disease, forgive every sin…and the reason He is able has nothing to do with us…but everything to do with Him. Do we really believe that Jesus took the stripes upon His back for our healing? Do we really believe that every sickness and disease was hung on the Cross with Jesus along with our sin? Do we really believe that God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die so that we would have the authority of the name of Jesus to cast out and curse every sickness and disease that gets a name? Do we really believe that the name of Jesus is the most powerful name in the world and that by just speaking that name God is able to heal and set free and deliver people of ALL sickness, ALL disease, ALL ailments, ALL syndromes, and ALL health conditioned named or unnamed? Do we believe more in incurable diseases or the power of the name of Jesus? Do we believe so much that we would crawl through a crowd of people just to touch the hem of His robe to be healed?
Listen. The reason that we can trust that God is able is because He said He is able Himself. We don’t have to take anyone else’s word for it, but His…and we know that we can always take His Word because He is not a man that He should lie. No matter what we are facing, no matter what we are going through, and no matter what God has called us to do He is able to do whatever it is we need Him to do.
God IS able and He will never fail us. Do you believe?
Let’s Pray:
Lord God, thank You for Your abounding and abundant grace. Thank You that You are able to meet every need. Father God, I ask that You would supernaturally meet every need represented by the members of this group. We know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask, think, or imagine…and we thank You for it. In Jesus name. Amen.
Final Word From Pastor B:
There’s a song by Hillsong that most of us probably have heard, and as I was getting ready to close this message I had that song in my mind. I think the lyrics will be the perfect way to close out this message. Meditate upon these words, and ask God to search your hearts to reveal the areas of unbelief…and then surrender those areas to Him by faith.
God is able
He will never fail
He is almighty God
Greater than all we seek
Greater than all we ask
He has done great things!
Do you believe that He is able?
Have a blessed day!
Blessings & Grace;
Pastor B
