Greetings Everyone!
I don’t know how often the Lord will have me do this, but I love taking the time to write spontaneous messages. I enjoy doing the teaching series messages, but there’s something really fun about seeing a scripture like this and having the freedom to take a moment to write something about it.
“From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’S name is to be praised.” – Psalms 113:3 (KJV)
From sun up to sun down the name of the Lord is to be praised. It’s one thing to know that in Heaven right now there’s a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week, and it’s been going on long before the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. There’s a never-ending worship service in Heaven, and that’s how it should be here on earth as well.
Think about this. The Bible says that if there aren’t enough people praising God that He will cause the rocks to cry out. There’s an old gospel hymn with words that go something like this: “Ain’t no rock gonna cry out in my place”…and that’s the kind of declaration we all need to make…while we are here on earth.
Listen. If all God did was send Jesus to die in our place so we could be reconciled with Him than that would be enough for us to praise Him from sun up to sun down as David writes here in this psalm. I don’t know about you, but I know that the Lord has done far more in my life than just sending Jesus to take my place. He’s blessed me tremendously over the last few years, and had His hand on my life since I stepped into the world. So, there’s plenty of reason for me to never stop giving Him thanks and praise.
How about you? I’m sure that you can think of all kinds of things God has done in your life, and that would (and should) give you reason to praise the name of the Lord all day long. I don’t know about you, but there’s so much that God has done in my life that it’s not a stretch or chore to begin the never-ending praise here. Amen!?!
God showers us with never-ending blessings so that in return we can shower Him with never-ending praise.
