Good Morning CLMNWA Family,

I am really enjoying what God is having me do with Pastor B’s Blog now, and as it was in the beginning with the Christlike Ministries NWA Blog now that I have clear direction I can just write.  I believe now that I have direction that God will be able to grow this blog like He did the main one, and I am also hoping that I’ll be able to get a private domain for both blogs.

How many of you know that there’s a short and long answer to the question that’s the title of our message for today?  Is anything too hard for God?  The short answer obviously is no, but since the Lord is leading me to write I sense there’s a longer answer that He wants to talk to us about today.  So, let’s take a look at the verse that’s going to accompany this message, and see what the Lord wants to say.

“Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.” – Jeremiah 32:17 (KJV)

Like I said a moment ago, the short answer for this question that the Prophet Jeremiah asks is no, there isn’t anything that’s too hard for God.  However, there’s one thing that God spoke to me in answering this question that may surprise you.  There is, in fact, one thing that is too hard for God to do.  That one thing is…overriding our free will.

You see, we have a choice to make, and God can do everything He possibly can to get us to decide to choose Him.  What He cannot do, however, is make us choose Him.  He can lead us and draw us.  He can parade pastors and evangelists and even our saved friends or family members before us to talk to us about Jesus and why it’s important for us to give our hearts and lives to Him…but He cannot override anyone’s free will should they choose to reject Him.  God made the heavens and the earth.  He created every living thing.  He even created us, and you’d think that He could somehow create in us a default decision to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior yet thousands of people every day leave this world having rejected Him with their last breath.

The thing is, when He created us He gave us two things that He didn’t give anything else He created.  He gave us a soul and He gave us free will to choose where that soul is going when we die.  The reason He did that is He wants us to CHOOSE to love Him.  Come on, friends, we all know that it’s much sweeter when people choose to love us, right!?!  So, it’s the same way with God.  God already has beings in the angels (and remember 1/3 of them left with Lucifer) that were created without free will.  He created angels that didn’t have a choice whether to accept and worship Him or not.  So, He created us with the ability to choose, and while rejecting Him holds serious consequences He rejoices over those of us who have chosen Him.  Come on, friends.  Jesus spoke about this when He talked about how the father rejoices over the 1 that returns home over the 99 that are already there.

Of course, the preaching of this verse is usually meant to be comfort and encouragement for us when it comes to prayer.  The reason we can pray in faith knowing that God hears us, and will answer us is because we know that as long as what we’re asking of Him is according to His will He will give us the petitions of our hearts.  The key, of course, is praying in faith, and believing in faith whether God answers immediately or it takes Him years.

So, while there is a longer answer for this question that has to do with our free will that deals with whether or not we will accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior the short answer to the question is there anything too hard for God is still no.  Because once we are whosoever’s that have called upon the name of the Lord to be saved we can pray with faith, assurance, and confidence that there is not anything too hard for God to do in, with, and through our lives if we will let Him.

Have a blessed day in the Lord!
